Forever Floral

My parents will be celebrating 45 years of marriage on May 6th. I wanted to create something elegant with the colors they had at their wedding.
My inspiration came from a similar card with the same layout, but I just changed the colors and saying.
Thanks Jenna Barber for your wonderful card I saw on splitcoaststampers.

Thanks for looking!

Gentle Thoughts

I created this card a while back, and fell in love with it....so I made it again when I needed a "thinking of you" card.
It's wonderfully elegant...and you can change the sentiment to reflect whatever you'd want to say (ie: birthday, anniversary, etc).
I took inspiration for this card from Jenna Barber whose similar card used the stamp set "Fifth Avenue Floral" instead of "Gently Falling". (on splitcoaststampers website)

Certain Belief - SQ36

I wanted to try the tap dancing technique that was demonstrated in the April issue of the Stampin' Success magazine. Here are the instructions for this technique (using my card as the example).
1. Ink Certainly Celery (Classic Stamp pad) on the Just Believe Stamp set.
2. Take the brush side of the Soft Suede marker, and tap the side of the brush to the stamp/or color parts/or draw lines - which is what I had done here.
3. I wiped off the color on the flowers with a kleenex/paper towel, so that I could color them in with a Pink Pirouette marker.
4. Breathe on stamp to re-moisten the ink.
5. Stamp image on the paper.

I incorporated the Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge (SQSC36) into this card as well. You can see the cards created with this sketch here: http://gettincrafty.typepad.com/stampin_queens_sketch_cha/2012/04/sqsc-36.html
