Floral Phrases

The Detailed Floral Thinlits, Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the Stitched Ribbon. Beautiful!  I am experiencing a bit of trouble with getting the pieces out after running the thinlits through my Big Shot. Maybe I just need a shim (extra piece of paper in my sandwich before running it through the Big Shot). =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Place Buddies

I'm in LOVE with the Snow Place stamp set... it offers so many options. Also, pairing it with the Snow Friends Framelits makes creating cards a breeze.
Now, I do have to say that I copied Mary Fish's card... with a little tweek. Thanks so much for your inspiration Mary! I can see many possibilities using this set. Here is Mary's card:

MeltingMan

I've seen so many melting snowmen on Pinterest using the 'Sprinkles of Life' cloud stamp ... I just had to create one of my own. Now I did copy Melissa Davies' card, but tweeked it to make it my own. Thanks so much for your inspiration! Here is Melissa's card:

The way the sentiment came out was a mistake, but I think it made the card that much more appropriate, as it looks like it's fading/melting, like the snowman. The look was achieved by using the Basic Black marker on the stamp (so I could only get the words "Snow Way!")... I guess I should have stamped it on scrap paper and re-ink. As I said... I think it's perfect for the card.

Supplies Used:Stamp Sets - Sprinkles of Life, Snow Place
Ink - Smoky Slate, Memento, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper - Whisper White (thick), Brushed Silver

It's really fun putting all the Snow Place items together with the Snow Friends Framelits... so easy to cut out!

Elegant Wreaths

I've used the Wondrous Wreath before using traditional colors for Christmas (green and red) and Fall (orange, yellow), so I wanted to create some classy wreaths with white and gold.  I saw Cat Craig's card on Pinterest and thought I'd dress mine up a bit using the gold foil paper.  Here's Cat's card:

As you can see I made a few changes from Cat's card, but kept the general layout the same.  Thanks so much Cat for your inspiration!

Creating more Christmas cards for the season. I used the Star of Light stamp set and the coordinating Starlight thinlits. I love the versatility of this stamp set too... although, you can't see it here, as I used the same stamps and thinlits on both cards. The stamp set has many Christmas messages to choose from as well as different star stamps too. I hope to create a few more cards using the other stamps, so check back with my blog soon.

On the Gold Star card, I used Gold Foil paper and Very Vanilla cardstock with Gold Emboss Powder. On the Silver Star card, I used Silver Foil paper and Night of Navy cardstock with Silver Emboss Powder.

Sprinkled Trees

It's really kinda amazing how this card evolved from what I had originally planned when I first started took this stamp set out.

My original color choice was to use gray/white with a touch of red for the bird. Instead I ended up using black/vanilla with the touch of red...not really traditional Christmas colors, but I believe the end result is pretty amazing!

I wanted to utilize the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper...and the colors on this particular sheet was black and vanilla. So, I adjusted my thinking and I'm so happy I did!

What's Christmas without the Christmas Tree? Such a wonderful stamp set from Stampin' Up (Totally Trees)! You can use this set for all the seasons... and I hope to do this when I get the chance.

Letter Year

Christmas Joy! Another Christmas card complete!
Thanks for taking the time to look closer!

Swirly Sea

I find much inspiration from Pinterest, so goes it with this card. I saw something similar using the Swirly Scribbles thinlits and the 'From Land to Sea' stamp set.
Here is the card Joanne James created which inspired by card! Thanks so much Joanne!!

On my card, I used the 'H' clear block to create the background water rectangle...and topped it with the Swirly Scribbles thinlits to create an ocean.

The turtle is colored in using AquaPainters with Old Olive ink.

Musical

For the music lover I came up with a simple card utilizing my digital software.

I printed the music (Notes) DSP with my digital software and printed it out on Whisper White cardstock. From there.... I finished the card the traditional way by attaching the piece onto black cardstock and added a piece of white cardstock to the top. I attached the ribbon to cover the seam from the white and music papers.

I stamped the sentiment (Watercolor Wishes) above the ribbon and then adhered the whole thing to the card bases.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used
Stamp sets - Watercolor Wishes, Notes (Music DSP from digital software)
Ink - Memento
Paper - Soft Sky, Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black

Snowmen Nuggets Holder

These are so darn cute! I saw Donna Kish's on Pinterest (she got her inspiration from France Martin (Frenchie). Thanks so much ladies for creating something so cute!

If you'd like to see the instructions, you can head on over to Donna's page and view her instructions for the box. http://donnas-stampswellwithothers.blogspot.com/2015/11/snow-place-nugget-snowman.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed:+StampsWellWithOthers+(Stamps+Well+With+Others)

I started with a 6 1/4" x 3" piece of Real Red cardstock. Then, I scored it 1/2" and 1" on all sides. I cut the piece as shown below:

Now, I used Whisper White cardstock for the snowmen bodies. I cut my strips 1" x 3"... and used double-sided sticky tape first. It didn't hold to well together, so I switched to using glue dots to keep them on the chocolate nuggets.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Snow Place
Paper - Whisper White, Real Red
Ink - Memento, Basic Black, Real Red, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories - Big Shot, Magnetic Plate, Snow Friends Framelits, Simply Scored Tool, Scoring Tool, glue dots
