Brunch Celebration

When I saw this color combination together on a card on Pinterest (Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron and Whisper White)... I thought that these colors would be perfect for Mother's Day.

I stamped all the flowers on white cardstock and then colored them in using Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron and Peek-a-boo Peach markers. I used the Basket Builder Framelits that coordinate with the Basket Bunch stamp set flowers. I adhered the flowers with a dimensional to make them pop.

Thanks for looking!
Happy Mother's Day to all Mom's out there!

Sublime Sorbet

It's been a while since I participated in a blog sketch challenge, so I thought to give this one from Freshly Made Sketches a try. (FMS274).  You can find their blog here along with all the cards created with this sketch here:

Thanks Freshly Made Sketches for your inspirational sketch! Even though I chose to switch my card to landscape instead of keeping it portrait.

My sister-in-law has an RV where she has been traveling with her kids to see the 50 states. I thought the Sublime stamp set would be perfect for her. I paired the stamp set with a retired SU Designer Series Paper (DSP) -- Sweet Sorbet.

I used an AquaPainter to color in the RV using colors within the DSP that I used.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - You're Sublime
Ink - Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Sahara Sand, Memento
Paper - Pool Party, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet DSP
Accessories - Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, AquaPainter

Falling Details

The Falling in Love DSP (Designer Series Paper) is really pretty with the bokeh effect on a few of the papers. Pair it with the So Detailed Thinlits... and I believe you have a winner!

I used Sweet Sugarplum and Very Vanilla cardstock to match the paper.

Even though the card (I think) is elegant enough, I chose to add pearls to the ribbon to enhance the beauty of it.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - So In Love
Ink - Sweet Sugarplum
Paper - Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla, Falling In Love DSP

What a beautifully detailed piece to add to cards. I'm speaking of the 'So Detailed' thinlits. See how I just added the thinlit and it just finishes off the card.... no need to add anything more.

Tualatin River Greenway

While Mike's parents were visiting us in Tualatin Oregon, we spent a few days walking along the Tualatin River Greenway. It was such a lovely walking trail with many places to relax and just sit along the river as well as along the trail. What was cool about it, was that it was an interpretive trail showcasing the end of the last Ice Age.

Naval Air Station Museum

When we took Mike's parents to Tillamook Oregon, we stopped at the Naval Air Station Museum. It was cool to walk around Hangar B and to visualize what it was used for back in WWII (holding the navy blimps). Today, it houses around 20 aircrafts... one is the Erickson - Aero Spacelines Mini Guppy...which we were able to go into. Mike's Dad saw an army jeep that he drove during his days in the Army.

Tillamook Cheese Factory

In May 2016, we took Mike's parents to Tillamook Oregon to see the Cheese Factory and the Naval Air Station Museum. Here are the pages on the Cheese Factory.... where we got to take a tour of the factory, eat samples of cheese and then have lunch. For lunch, we had Grilled Cheese sandwiches with fries and Mac N Cheese. We topped the trip off with some wonderful ice cream! Yum!

Bandon Oregon2016

Continuing with our 2016 photobook here with our trip to Bandon Oregon in March 2016. We spent the weekend at the coast checking out the lighthouses along our route, going the the wildlife park and celebrating my birthday at a nice restaurant by the ocean. It was wonderful even though it rained a bit. The motel that we stayed at was right on the coast, and our room had a fantastic view of the ocean and a short walk down to the beach.  It was fantastic!

LongBeach Aquarium

Well, let's just say I've been procrastinating a lot lately. A few weeks ago, I decided to start working on our 2016 photobook -- of places we have visited or things we have done in 2016. So, with that said, with these pages, I've scrapbooked our Long Beach California trip in January 2016.We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific with Mike's sister and her family along with Mike's parents. The kids enjoyed touching the sting rays. My favorite is the jellyfish... along with the raccoon butterflyfish!
